Text is an essential part of design. A brand doesn´t work without a slogan, a corporate design not without a statement. Designers are active in social media, advertising and journalism, but also in many other fields such as correspondence, catalogues or exposés. In addition to visual design, writing is an elementary tool to be learned. Which words are appropriate for which context? What is needed to consider if you want to write down your ideas or argue convincingly? What scope does verbal communication offer and how can you meet the needs of your clients?
This course teaches multifaceted and practice-oriented techniques of reading and writing. We experimentally, creatively and critically test very different fields of text production, read and write in different genres, reflect, discuss and give each other feedback. Through the writing exercises you will learn to develop your own writing style and implement your own projects independently.
